an actual problem for my ANS 452 homework:
"My friend wants to use the above storm rainfall to water a garden. How many gallons of storage do I need to hold all the roof runoff from that storm? What if they graduated from the U of O and want it for water in the house (like for drinking water (yuk) plus tofu production (yuk), tie-dying shirts (yuk, depends on the shirt), campaigning against animal cruelty by corporate/factory famrs that are supported by government/industrial complex that runs OSU Animal Sciences (really waste of time, bring on your science!)), so you will collect all 40 inches of rainfall off this roof?"
