i like me a good cup of hood river coffee company's coffee, a quintessential hood river breeze, and a massive blueberry-poppyseed muffin while surrounded by art of pears and hanging baskets of flowers: that is to say. i'm in the garden cafe at good news gardens in HR.
never bad.
I love the ag department at HRV. so huge. wow. so intensive too. I guess I just didn't realize they had such an extensive ag department there. they had their first student teacher last year, so they know what to expect. actually, she lived at the head prof's house, so he's more than well acquainted with what the AgEd program from OSU requires (which is a lot of work plans that are retardedly long and boring and extremely tedious. yay lesson plans. so not excited about that)
each class has about 25 kids, with about 450 students involved in the ag&tech department as a whole, and 75 kids in the ffa chapter, it's huge here. like, wow. so awesome. i really like it (did i say that already?) but also, with teaching here, I won't be the only AgEd kid from OSU in my district. w00t. yay for getting to meet up with my co-horts at FFA leadership camp!
also? the benefit to choosing Ag as a teaching job? you get to wear jeans, t-shirts, and boots (romeos if one wanted). so tight. I'm loving it. Casual friday every day.
of course, everyone thought i was a high school student. except for don, because he was expecting me. but still.... i do look like a high schooler. *sigh* they say it will be a good thing when i'm older. but I'm still not so sure about that.
well, i should rock off to do some homework... it's weird to think that I would ordinarily be going to class right now... or procrastinating homework.
